Examples of Portraits

This portrait shows the love of a family in the country. By just showing the face of the young child truely shows how happy she is with her parents by her side. By only showing the little girls face, only makes the view focused on the child and noth the parents. The bottom half of the parents still gives the photo a unique feature without being taken away from the main subject.

I love this picture because it is representing a country girl. The setting fits along with the girl's outfit, the wooden fence, the sunsetting, and the tree branches gives the photo a natural country look. By not seeing her face gives the photo more concentration on the surroundings and the outfit. The belt buckle is bright, but doesn't take away from the rest of the photo either. I also like how she is "picking" at her nails. It gives the impression she is either bored, waiting for someone, or just simply taking in the contry evening.

The girls bright white shirt really brings out her colored featrues and the brick wall. It has both an edgy look while still being soft. By leanining on the wall with her arm doesn't take away from the rest of her body compared to if her back was on the wall. This way the viewer can still see her whole face and both arms. Her facial expression really adds the photo by being relaxed and not as excited.

By sitting down shows the whole upper half of the body so the viewer isn't only looking a one specific feature. By not smiling all the way gives the photo an interesting view of the person and has a mysterious feature to her.

This look shows patiences and wonder. The girls eyes are really brought out in this photo and by simply having her leaning on her arms and staring out gives the photo true meaning of wonder. Her calm expression makes the view want to know what she is thinking.

A silhouette portrait always looks interesting and extravagant. This silhouette shows the calmness of the scenery and the country love. The couple being black just shows their body language and the viewer can easily tell that they are in love and are supporting each other. The sky is very bright and clean but doesn't take away from the couple.

This picture in black and white brings out the details in the couples outfits and their expressions. Their expressions and the scenery shows the love and effection of the couple and if it were in color I think it would take away from the expressions. By having the girl leaning on her fience and having him looking down on her shows their true feelings for each other.
